Hello dear readers, today I will tell you about the top representative of Social Work, the outstanding Mary Richmond.  She was born on August 5, 1861 in Belleville, Illinois . Her parents died when Mary was 3 years old, along with her three siblings due to tuberculosis, forcing her to live with her grandmother and aunts in Baltimore, Maryland . She was the second oldest child of Henry Richmond, a carriage blacksmith, and Lavinia Harris Richmond, daughter of a prominent Baltimore, Maryland jeweler and real estate broker. Mary revolutionized the way that there had been up to that time to help the neediest people, turning that help into a profession, since she thought that it was time to look for the causes that had led people to their situation of poverty, in order to eradicate them and promote their independence. She is very important because she contributed a lot to the profession, because she was the woman who formalized the techniques, contents, system and theory of Social Work. ...

Social work affects favorably in the world and in our society, since it is the profession in charge of delivering tools to people so they can move forward and help their lifestyle to be the right one for any citizen, being able to lower their needs.  In this process I see myself studying hard to be able to practice the profession in a good way, and when I do, to be very good at it.  The most special thing about social work is that professionals give everything to be at the service of people in vulnerable situations and seek to help in a direct or preventive way through the development of plans and interventions, to act on the cause that is generating such reality. Dear readers:  In this photo is my brother Victor, the light of my eyes. It means everything to me because it represents him as he is, happy and sincere, a wonderful person and a fighter, it makes me remember him with joy in difficult moments. It interests me because it means a memory where Victor was well, without any worries in between. The story behind this photo is that he was talking to our older brother about the mischief they were going to do when they saw each other, because we live relatively far away, plus he was enjoying a walk in a cafeteria eating pastries.  Thanks so much for reading, love!!!!

 One of the foods that I really like and honestly is my favorite food, is sushi.  Sushi is a typical dish of Japanese origin based on rice seasoned with rice vinegar, sugar and salt and combined with other ingredients such as raw fish, seafood, vegetables, etc.  To make this food, the rice must first be prepared and then cooled to add sugar, salt and vinegar. Then the protein is cooked and the extra ingredients are selected, such as cheese, vegetables and condiments. Then in the center of the rice, place the protein strips, cheese and vegetables. Finally, roll the seaweed to form a cylinder. When it is time to serve it, cut it into portions.  I really like this meal because of the variety of ingredients it has and the way they all taste good together. However, it affects my health because of the fried food it contains and its high amount of calories.  Dear reader, I invite you to try this food, it's delicious!!! Greetings. 

 My favorite piece of technology is the cell phone, which is a portable device with which you can make or receive calls, use social networks, capture photos, among other functions.  I got my first cell phone when I was 12 years old and my parents gave it to me for Christmas. Currently I also have one, which I bought with my savings and I use it many hours a day, even more during pandemics, since I use it to communicate with my family and friends, that is, it is my means of communication.  I like this device because I can carry it everywhere comfortably, since it is small, I also like it for its camera and the ease with which I can capture beautiful landscapes.  For me, life without a cell phone would be difficult, because I use it for everything, whether it's calls, searching for directions, taking pictures, online payments, among others. However, as time goes by I could get used to it and have a normal life.  Thank you very much for reading!!!

  When I was a child I always dreamed of being a doctor or a teacher, I liked both professions. I also wanted to be a veterinarian and a dentist. However, as time went by I realized that I liked the humanities and the sciences were not my thing. When I started high school, I began to investigate careers related to my interests. First I was interested in special education, then psychology and finally I decided on social work. I chose this career because of the approach it implements, its dedication to society and the possibility it has to provide tools to those who need them. I am in my first year of university and this whole experience has been a bit chaotic, with a lot of stress in between, but I am completely happy with what I chose and all the effort will be rewarded. In the future I see myself working as a social worker who defends children and women's rights. I will always look out for that and much more!
